Privacy
This page has one form. Here is exactly what it does with what you give it.
What we collect
When you join the list we record your email address, the date and time, the language of the page (English), and how you reached it, as one of three categories only: a link from a social network, a link from another website, or direct. The address of the page you came from is not stored.
To stop one connection from sending more than ten sign-ups an hour, we also keep a one-way, salted hash of your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored and cannot be read back from the hash.
Nothing else: no name, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel, no third-party script.
Why
To send you one email when the shop opens, on 30 November 2026 at 10:00, Paris time. Nothing else: no newsletter, no resale, no sharing. If we ever want to write to you about anything else, we will ask first.
Legal basis
Your consent, given by sending the form. You can withdraw it at any time, by writing to us.
How long
Until three months after the opening, that is until 28 February 2027, then the list is deleted. Sooner if you ask.
Who can see it
The list is a file on the site’s own server, out of public reach, at our host IONOS (details on the legal page). No one else receives it.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Write to contact@whoownsthegrid.com; you will have an answer within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
Cookies
This page sets no cookie. It remembers in your browser tab, until you close it, that its opening animation has already played (session storage, nothing is sent to us). Preview access for our own team uses a technical cookie that ordinary visitors never receive.
